Tonight on Steele & Ungar – 08/08/2017

Michael and Rick kick off tonight’s show by reviewing the past week. The guys look at President Trump’s claims about his base and whether or not they coincide with his current polling numbers. The Nation contributor Josh Holland joins the guys to talk about why Medicare for all is not the best approach to universal healthcare. Dr. Bruce Bechtol, the president of the International Council on Korean Studies, jumps on to talk about the North Korean’s successfully producing a nuclear warhead that can fit on an ICBM. How worried should we be? David Hawkins, the director of the National Resource Defense Council’s Climate and Clean Air program, joins Rick and Michael to discuss a federal climate change report that found the U.S. is already starting to feel the effects of climate change. Michael and Rick wrap up the show looking at whether we could be seeing the development of a new centrist party.
